Fred Meyer Hires Johnathan Jones

Jonathan Jones is one of eight members who have taken transition jobs in the Transitional Employment Program of Wallingford Clubhouse. He works indoors and out at the Ballard Fred Meyer Store from twelve to six o'clock on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays organizing the shopping carts after they have been used. He likes his transitional employment, "especially the really, really nice people at Fred Meyer" whom he has gotten to know in the past two-and-a-half months. When Jonathan is not at Fred Meyer, clubhouse member Allison takes over his duties there.

In previous months at Wallingford Clubhouse Johnathan has worked from the daily sign-up sheet doing clubhouse chores and cashiering. Then he obtained his first TE job through the clubhouse's affiliate, Stepworks, prepping meals at Cascade House near Northgate.(more)
